Al-Awwal Park: A New Standard of Sport in Riyadh

Al-Awwal Park Stadium, now known as Mrsool Park, continues to amaze visitors and guests of Riyadh, confirming its status as one of the most modern and vibrant sports facilities in Saudi Arabia. Situated on the campus of King Saud University in the western part of the capital, this stadium has become a real calling card of the Al-Nasr Football Club, which has held its home matches here since 2015.

Construction of the facility began in the spring of 2011, and its grand opening took place in May 2015. The project was carried out by Hashem Contracting Company, which invested 215 million riyals in the construction. Particular attention was paid to ensuring that the stadium meets all international standards: the facility was built in strict accordance with FIFA requirements, which allows it to host international meetings and tournaments. Thanks to the perforated metal outer shell, the stadium's façade can change its shade depending on the sunlight - from rich brown to bright gold, which gives the building additional aesthetic charm.

This arena has repeatedly hosted events that have been imprinted in the memories of fans of various sports. Thus, in 2021, the stadium hosted the Maradona Cup between the legendary football teams Boca Juniors and Barcelona - an event organized in memory of the great Diego Maradona, who passed away the year before. In addition to football, Mrsool Park has hosted international events, including the WWE Crown Jewel premium live tournaments in 2018 and 2022, attracting the attention of not only sports fans but also entertainment enthusiasts.

Founded in 1955, Al-Nasr Football Club continues to perform confidently in the Saudi Pro League, and the club's home colors of yellow and blue proudly flutter against the modern silver and gold façade of Mrsool Park. The facility has become not only home to the team, but also a symbol of Saudi Arabia's commitment to developing sports infrastructure and hosting large-scale international events, combining the traditions and innovations of modern sports.
